Partner Organisations

The Folkestone Rainbow Centre supports people through times of crisis.

 

Rainbow works in partnership with Churches Together in Folkestone, who are committed to showing Christian care and compassion in the town.

 

Rainbow’s projects include: Homeless Support Service;  FoodStop; Shepway Foodbank; Hythe Pantry; Family Contact Centre; Money Matters (Citizens Advice partnership): Folkestone Churches Winter Shelter.  They also run the Rainbow Shop (a charity shop in Cheriton).

The Folkestone Churches Winter Shelter project was established in 2009 by Churches Together Folkestone, having witnessed the hardships facing homeless people in the locality.

 

Since then, the Folkestone Rainbow Centre, has overseen the operation of the Winter Shelter project.

Operation Sunshine is a local charity established over 30 years ago sending humanitarian aid and supplies to Africa, in order to make young people's lives better by enabling them to have basic provisions.

They are located in Capel near Folkestone and continue to grow, sending forty foot containers of aid goods every two/three months, supporting projects in Zambia, Zimbabwe and Lesotho.
